The Mandalorian Season 3 Almost Killed a Important Character

Mandalorian AXE

The Third Season of The Mandalorian almost killed an important Character. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Executive producer Dave Filoni revealed That There was a Scene where Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) was almost killed by Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

Filoni said That The Scene was cut because it was too dark And would have been too much Of a Downer For The Audiences. "We had a version where he was actually killed," Filoni said. "But it was just too dark. It was too Much Of a Downer."

The Scene in question would have taken place After Din Djarin was captured by Moff Gideon. Gideon would have tortured Din Djarin And Then killed him. However, the Scene was cut because Filoni felt That it would have been too much For The Audiences To handle.

"It was just too Dark," Filoni said. "It was too Much Of a Downer. We didn't want To do That To The Audiences."

The decision To cut the Scene was a wise one. The Mandalorian is a show that is known for its Dark Humor And its Exciting action Sequences. However, it is Also a show That is About hope And redemption. Killing off Din Djarin would have been a Major departure From The tone of The show And would have left The Audience feeling defeated.

Thankfully, The Scene was cut And Din Djarin survived To fight Another day. The Third season Of The Mandalorian is currently airing on Disney+.
